The Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL) is a major interracial, nonpartisan, nonprofit social services and civil rights organization with headquarters in the District of Columbia and offices in the District and Prince George's County, Maryland. Their mission is “to increase the economic and political empowerment of blacks and other minorities and to help all Americans share equally in the responsibilities and rewards of full citizenship.” Partnering with GWUL on various campaigns and projects, I was given creative freedom to direct and develop a contemporary style and tone of the organization to a contemporary and accessible platform and social service enterprise.
