Levels
In my site-specific installation, Levels (2016), I feature elements and objects from my home as self-discovery. The installation explores self preservation in attempt to better understand comfort, healing and joy as a form of protest amidst the current social climate of state sanctioned violence and anti-black rhetoric. This work exposes the interiors of my home with objects that are significant to my identity as a means of restoration and refuge.
